I am a widely published freelance writer with an interest in social media, health/fitness and travel. In December 2012 I completed a Master's Degree in Interactive Journalism at the Univeristy of Nevada's Reynolds School of Journalism with a focus on content strategy, integrated communications and social media marketing.

Marketing and Advertising at Copywriter and copyeditor

Wrote and edited copy for catalogs of the Williams-Sonoma companies, including Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Gardener's Eden and Hold Everything. I started with the company as an on-site independent contractor and when I moved out of state I continued to write the Hold Everything catalog, attending quarterly merchandise presentation and production meetings at the main office in San Francisco. Created direct-mail advertising for Macy's of California. Worked with buyers, production staff and photography to manage deadlines and meet a demanding production schedule. Also worked with manufacturers to coordinate use of co-op advertising dollars.
